Autumn training – feel the power of a sled dog team on wheels
How does it feel when 8–10 Alaskan Huskies set off at full speed? Now you can experience the thrill of a sled dog ride even without snow, surrounded by the beautiful pine forests of Pesäkangas.
The approximately 45-minute experience includes a 3–5 km ride in a dog cart, a photo stop, and time to meet and pet the dogs. You don't need to drive the team — an experienced musher will drive the entire route, allowing you to enjoy the ride and watch the dogs work up close.
The ride takes place in a specially designed dog cart with two passenger spots. The smooth, sandy forest trails of Pesäkangas provide the perfect setting for autumn training, giving you the opportunity to see the dogs working together with speed, focus, and determination.
Location
The rides take place in the Pesäkangas area near Pesäkivet in Lohtaja. The beautiful pine forests and sandy forest trails provide a natural setting for the sled dogs’ autumn training. The experience can easily be combined with a visit to the nearby Pesäkivet rock formations.

Payment
Payment is made upon booking with MobilePay. Alternatively, you can make a reservation and pay on site. On site, we currently accept contactless payment, MobilePay, and cash.

Good to know:
Each booking is private and has a maximum capacity of two people.
The customer does not drive the cart.
The route follows forest roads and trails, so the ride may be slightly bumpy in some spots.
Weather conditions and the dogs' well-being affect the length of the cart ride.
In wet weather, water and mud may splash from the wheels, so please wear outdoor clothing that you don't mind getting dirty.
